Which tools do you need at the beginning?
- products (cup, t-shirt, magnet, clock, keychain, pillow with cover, etc.)
- transfers (made on a Sawgrass printer and TruePix paper)
- heat-resistant adhesive tape
- cloth for cleaning smooth surfaces
- multi-purpose cleaner
- gloves for handling hot items
- scissors
- protective paper
- heat press
Press
A heat press is crucial for ensuring print quality. You can find our selection of heat presses here.
Heat presses for sublimation must ensure an even distribution of heating elements across the entire surface. The heating surface must be larger than the print area, and for sublimation printing, you need a press that allows for a longer pressing time – usually up to 180 seconds is sufficient.
We recommend that the sublimation press does not open automatically, but instead, it should be opened and closed manually. Automatic opening creates a vacuum when lifting, which can cause the transfer to shift, ruining the print.
